Dishon | The Ferguson Law Firm

BEAUMONT - Cody Dishon is leading a four-person team of attorneys from The Ferguson Law Firm in filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the 18-wheeler company and its driver seeking to hold them accountable for the deadly crash that killed two Port Arthur men and severely injured another family member, a press release states.

Dishon is joined by Ferguson Law Firm attorneys Javier Cabanillas, Cullen McDonald and managing partner Paul ‘Chip’ Ferguson.

According to the press release, two young brothers from Port Arthur, Texas—28-year-old Cesar Samaniego and 21-year-old Jose Samaniego—were killed in an 18-wheeler crash on Sept. 7. Their family member, Eric Carrillo, was also left with serious injuries and remained in the hospital until September 21.

“This tragedy has left our clients, their family and friends, and the entire community heartbroken,” Dishon said in a statement. “Our clients deserve answers and justice for their unspeakable suffering. Let there be no mistake – we will fight this large company and their entire team of lawyers, staff, experts, and investigators until our clients discover the full truth of why this happened.”

The law firm has previously obtained a Temporary Restraining Order to preserve evidence related to the crash and has conducted an initial inspection of the 18-wheeler. It has also taken the necessary steps to preserve other documentary evidence regarding the reasons for this crash, the press release states.

Dishon added: “We needed to, and did, move quickly in our search for the truth. Our clients deserve answers, and we intend to get them.”

Ferguson added: “We are honored to represent the family and will use the court system to get the answers they deserve. Our clients have asked for prayers and that their privacy be respected during this time of unspeakable loss.”
