HOUSTON – A Harris County woman has filed a negligence lawsuit against a Houston flooring business after she was allegedly rear-ended by one of the company's employees.

Plaintiff Titisha Bowie-Alexander filed a lawsuit in the Harris County District Court against Doro's Unique Flooring, Inc., citing allegations of negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on November 22, 2021, Bowie-Alexander was operating a vehicle and was stopped at a stoplight at the intersection of Chimney Rock Road and Willow Bend Blvd. in Houston when her vehicle was suddenly and without warning struck from behind by a van being operated by an employee who was working for the defendant at the time of the accident.

Bowie-Alexander alleges that the defendant's employee negligently failed to operate his vehicle in a safe manner to protect the safety of other drivers and that Doro's is vicariously liable for the negligence of its employee.

Bowie-Alexander claims that as a result of the defendant's negligence, she has sustained bodily injuries, which have caused her to experience pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, disfigurement, lost wages, out-of-pocket economic losses, and that their injuries will impact their ability to earn income. They add that they have incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover from her injuries.

The plaintiff is requesting a jury trial to seek judgment for damages plus interest, court costs, attorneys fees and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Pegah Rahgozar of the Rahgozar Law Firm, PLLC, in Houston.
