HOUSTON - A woman alleging she tripped over an “inconspicuous concrete ledge” nearly two years ago has filed suit against Dollar General.

Stacy Crawley filed the suit on Nov. 28 in Harris County District Court, naming Asia International, Visuth Sophonsiwongse and Dolgencorp of Texas (Dollar General) as defendants.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 3, 2021, Crawley was exiting a Dollar General at night when an “inconspicuous concrete ledge in the store parking lot caused her to violently fall face-first.”

“The concrete ‘wheel stop’ was painted an inconspicuously dark color, making it difficult for any customer to notice the dark conditions,” the suit states.

Crawley fractured her elbow and had to undergo an invasive surgery, the suit states.

She alleges the store negligently failed to warn customers of the dangerous condition.

She is suing for her past and future pain, mental anguish, impairment, disfigurement, medical expenses and lost wages.

Houston attorney Clifford D. Peel II represents her.
