HOUSTON - A slip and fall lawsuit recently filed against Wal-Mart Stores Texas is seeking up to $1 million in damages.
Alleging negligence, Carla Benitez filed her suit on Jan. 12 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 17, 2022, Benitez was at a Walmart in Humble shopping when she slipped and fell on oil that had spilled from a bottle.
She is alleging gross negligence and seeks damages for her past and future pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and impairment.
