HOUSTON - A lawsuit is alleging that a reported leak in a woman’s apartment caused her to slip and fall.
Alleging premises liability, Brenda Torres Gamez filed suit against Vista Oaks Apartments on Feb. 17 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, Gamez was a tenant at Vista Oaks. Several days prior to Dec. 29, 2022, she reported “many times” that the ceiling in her apartment was leaking. However, the defendant did not fix the problem and she slipped and fell on that date as a result.
Gamez is suing for her medical expenses, pain, mental anguish, impairment and disfigurement.
