In a case filed in the Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 1, plaintiff Anthony Olorunwa Thomas is suing defendants Israel Beaufort and SYGMA NETWORK Inc., with the court case ID 1225269 dated April 1, 2024. The lawsuit pertains to an alleged road accident that resulted in property damage and severe bodily injuries to the plaintiff.

The incident occurred on December 22, 2023, when Thomas was traveling southbound on the 13600 block of Murphy Road. Defendant Beaufort, who was driving northbound while pulling a trailer box, allegedly made an illegal U-turn causing his trailer box panel to violently strike Thomas's vehicle. The plaintiff's lawyer argues that this action by Beaufort caused significant property damage to Thomas's vehicle and inflicted severe bodily injuries on him.

Furthermore, the lawsuit accuses Beaufort of negligence, claiming he failed to maintain a proper lookout for other vehicles' safety and did not control his vehicle's speed or apply brakes as necessary. The claim also alleges that SYGMA NETWORK Inc., a corporation incorporated under Ohio laws but doing business in Texas, negligently entrusted its vehicle to Beaufort despite knowing or should have known about his reckless and incompetent driving habits.

Thomas seeks monetary relief over $30,000 but not more than $250,000 from both defendants for damages incurred due to the accident.
