Demetria Y Pyron has filed a lawsuit against Public Storage in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is 2024-21455 and was filed on April 4, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's negligence led to her exposure to toxic mold, causing significant health issues and property damage.

The incident occurred on April 18, 2022, when Pyron woke up with severe symptoms and noticed a musty odor in her residence located at 621 FM 1960 RD East, Houston Texas. Subsequent inspections by Texas Mold Inspectors confirmed the presence of high-level toxic mold - Mycrotoxin in her residence. The defendant's neglect to repair water damage from November 2019 until June 2020 is alleged as the cause of this issue.

Pyron alleges that Public Storage failed to conduct a mold clearance test before remodeling and replacing the inside of the location. She also claims that they ignored visible signs of water damage like yellow and brown ceiling stains. Pyron has suffered physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of furniture, clothes, personal belongings, household items, and wages due to this negligence.

Pyron seeks damages for her suffering and losses caused by Public Storage's negligence. The damages sought are within the jurisdictional limits of the court. The exact amount will be specified once it is fully known.
