In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, plaintiff Charles Morris has filed a lawsuit against Cotton Commercial USA, Inc., case ID 2024-1 871 3, on March 22, 2024. The suit alleges breach of contract and seeks monetary relief for unpaid wages and bonuses.

Charles Morris was employed by Cotton Commercial USA, Inc., a Texas-based corporation, as a general manager with an annual salary of $110,000. His compensation package included participation in the company's General Manager Incentive Plan. However, he was terminated without cause on December 7, 2023.

Morris asserts that he performed his job to such an extent that he exceeded his attainment quota by at least 120% despite a challenging year for the company due to Covid and other regional factors. Despite this performance, he was let go three weeks before the end of the fiscal year and offered a severance package amounting to just over one month's pay.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment for breach of contract. He argues that having worked almost the entire year and having exceeded his performance targets, he was unfairly deprived of his bonus when he was terminated without cause just weeks before the end of the fiscal year.
