In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, Allen Charles has filed a lawsuit against Murphy Oil Corporation on April 23, 2024. The case is registered under the court case ID 2024-26118 and is presided over by Judge Nelson Cuero.

Allen Charles, a resident of Louisiana, alleges that he sustained life-altering physical injuries as a result of a crane accident at Port Fourchon, Louisiana on April 20, 2024. He claims that Murphy Oil Corporation was the employer of the crane operator involved in this incident. Charles was working as a rigger for Extreme Welding Service when the incident occurred. He was hit by a load of drill pipes in his knee which resulted in significant injuries to his left knee and back.

The plaintiff asserts that his injuries were not caused by any fault of his own but rather due to the negligence and/or gross negligence of the defendant. The consequences have been painful and will be prolonged, including physical injuries and mental suffering from which they may never recover.

Charles is seeking monetary relief over $1,000,000 for damages suffered due to the alleged negligence of Murphy Oil Corporation. He intends to conduct discovery under Level 3, pursuant to Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 190.4 because he seeks monetary relief in excess of $250,000.
