A Texas woman has filed a lawsuit against three companies after suffering severe injuries from an electric fence. Michelle Fraser filed the complaint in Harris County District Court on July 5, 2024, against Priceless Rentals & Automotive LLC, Park 'N Fly LLC, and Amarok LLC.
The case stems from an incident on June 6, 2024, when Fraser was returning a rental car to Priceless Rentals & Automotive LLC. According to the court documents, she was electrocuted by an active electric fence present in the shared parking lot of Priceless Rentals & Automotive LLC and Park 'N Fly LLC. The fence was manufactured and installed by Amarok LLC. Fraser claims that due to the defendants' failure to provide a safe environment, she sustained serious injuries to her back and other parts of her body.
Fraser's petition outlines several causes of action including negligence, gross negligence, premises liability, and negligence per se under Texas law. The complaint alleges that the defendants failed to inspect for dangerous conditions, did not fix or warn about these conditions, disregarded inherent dangers knowingly, and failed to take adequate precautionary measures. "Defendants had actual knowledge or reasonably should have known of the unreasonably dangerous condition," states the complaint.
The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief exceeding $1 million for physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, lost earning capacity, and other damages. She also requests a jury trial for all claims presented in her petition.
Representing Michelle Fraser are attorneys Jason A. Itkin and Trenton A. Shelton from Arnold & Itkin LLP. The case is being heard in Harris County District Court under Case ID 2024-42661 with Judge Marilyn Burgess presiding.
