Alexander Kidonakis has filed a lawsuit against a major grocery chain, alleging negligence that led to severe injuries from a slip and fall incident. The complaint was lodged by Kidonakis in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on October 25, 2024, targeting H-E-B, LP as the defendant.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on March 14, 2023, at an H-E-B store located at 5895 San Felipe St., Houston, Texas. Alexander Kidonakis claims he was shopping in the frozen food section when he slipped on an unknown substance and fell violently to the floor. As a result of this fall, Kidonakis sustained severe injuries that necessitated ongoing medical treatment. He argues that H-E-B failed in its duty to maintain a safe environment for its customers by not ensuring the store was free from hazards like slippery substances. "Defendant had a duty to use ordinary care to ensure that the Store... did not present a danger," states the petition.

Kidonakis's lawsuit accuses H-E-B of premises liability and negligence. The plaintiff alleges that H-E-B was aware or should have been aware of the hazardous condition posed by the slippery substance and failed to take necessary actions such as inspecting or warning customers about it. The petition further claims that H-E-B's negligence extends to inadequate training and supervision of its employees regarding safety protocols and customer interactions. This lack of proper training allegedly contributed to the unsafe conditions leading to Kidonakis's injuries.

In his pursuit of justice, Alexander Kidonakis is seeking monetary relief exceeding $1 million for damages incurred due to the accident. These damages include reasonable medical expenses from March 14, 2023, onward; compensation for physical pain and suffering; loss of enjoyment of life; lost wages; loss of earning capacity; physical impairment; disfigurement; and mental anguish.

Representing Alexander Kidonakis is attorney Annie Basu from Basu Law Firm PLLC based in Houston, Texas. The case has been filed under Case ID 2024-74898 in Harris County's District Court with Judge Taiasha Bradford presiding over it.
