Autumn Donahoe has filed a lawsuit against the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Inc., claiming negligence after suffering injuries from a slip and fall incident on their premises. The complaint was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on November 6, 2024.

According to the petition, Autumn Donahoe was an invitee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 11, 2024, when she slipped on a slippery substance on the floor. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant or its employees were aware of this hazardous condition but failed to take appropriate measures to make the area safe or warn visitors like her. This negligence forms the basis of Donahoe's claim under common law premises liability. She asserts that as a result of this oversight by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, she suffered significant injuries requiring medical attention.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for past and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, and mental anguish. In addition to actual damages, Donahoe is requesting special damages up to $74,999.00. She also seeks recovery of court costs and pre- and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law.

Representing Autumn Donahoe are attorneys David K. Mestemaker, Norman Straub, and Jonathan B. Zumwalt from Mestemaker, Straub & Zumwalt in Houston. The case is being heard in the 270th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2024-78176.
