Dayonna Davis has filed a lawsuit against several businesses, alleging negligence that resulted in personal injury. The complaint was lodged by Dayonna Davis on January 2, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County against Nomad X LLC, Nomad X LLC doing business as Nameless by Nomad, and Pangea Global Cuisine, LLC.

The incident at the heart of this case occurred on January 28, 2024, when Davis was visiting a restaurant operated by the defendants at 6009 Beverly Hill Street in Houston. According to the complaint, an employee of the restaurant accidentally knocked over a hookah lamp while moving it to another table. This caused hot coals to fall onto Davis's table, resulting in burns that required medical attention. The plaintiff argues that the defendants were negligent in their duty to maintain a safe environment for patrons. Specifically, Davis accuses them of failing to supervise their employees properly and not taking adequate measures to prevent such accidents. She contends that these failures directly led to her injuries and subsequent medical expenses.

Davis is seeking monetary relief not exceeding $250,000 for damages including past and future medical expenses, pain and suffering both past and future, mental anguish experienced due to the incident, and lost wages. She asserts that the defendants' actions have had a lasting impact on her physical health and mental well-being.

Representing Dayonna Davis is attorney Aysia Mayo-Gray from J. Jackson Law Offices PLLC. The case is being heard in the 80th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2025-00042 with Judge Alexis Burks presiding.
