In a dramatic legal confrontation, an individual from Harris County has taken a significant step by filing a lawsuit against another resident, accusing them of negligence that resulted in personal injuries. The complaint was lodged by Mirna Del Carmen Guerrero on February 7, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, targeting Stella Lucille Dalrymple as the defendant.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on November 7, 2023. According to the petition filed by Guerrero, she was traveling westbound on Westheimer Road in Houston when Dalrymple's vehicle unexpectedly veered into her lane and collided with her car. This sudden impact allegedly caused Guerrero to suffer bodily injuries. In her complaint, Guerrero asserts that Dalrymple failed to maintain her lane and control her vehicle's speed among other negligent actions. "Defendant had a duty to exercise ordinary care," the petition states, listing several alleged failures including not keeping a proper lookout and failing to operate the vehicle free from distractions like using a cellular device.

Guerrero is seeking monetary relief ranging from over $250,000 to no more than $1 million for damages encompassing medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, and loss of earning capacity both past and future. She argues that these damages are justified due to the severity of her injuries resulting from Dalrymple's alleged negligence.

Represented by attorneys Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh and Pavel “Paul” Savinov from Huynh Law PLLC along with Hilda Leonor Sibrian from The Law Offices of Hilda L. Sibrian P.C., Guerrero demands a jury trial for this case. Her legal team emphasizes their readiness to present evidence at any pre-trial proceedings or trial without needing further authentication of documents produced during discovery.

This case is being heard under Cause No. 2025-08574 in the 11th Judicial District Court of Harris County with Judge Bernita Barrett presiding over the proceedings.
