A recent lawsuit has been filed in Harris County, Texas, capturing attention due to its allegations of negligence and unsafe business practices. On March 20, 2025, Fernando A. Veras initiated legal proceedings against Ryan John Harrison, H-Town Muscle, LLC, and 12551 Steepleway Rd, LLC. The complaint was officially lodged in the District Court of Harris County under Case No. 2025-19015.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on November 4, 2023, when Veras visited H-Town Muscle located at 12551 Steeple Way Blvd in Jersey Village, Texas. As a customer and business invitee, Veras claims he was owed a duty of care by the defendants to ensure the premises were safe. According to the petition filed by Veras' attorney Joshua Leal from Kwok Daniel Ltd., L.L.P., during a training session with defendant Ryan John Harrison, Veras was overworked to the point of injury. The plaintiff alleges that this incident resulted in significant personal injuries for which he holds the defendants accountable.

Veras accuses the defendants of multiple acts of negligence including failing to maintain a safe environment free from hazards and not adequately training their employees or customers about safety protocols. The lawsuit highlights specific failures such as not implementing proper safety policies and procedures and neglecting to warn about dangerous conditions on the premises. These actions or lack thereof are claimed to have directly contributed to Veras' injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for damages incurred due to medical expenses both past and future, pain and suffering endured as well as anticipated future suffering, mental anguish experienced historically and expected going forward, along with disability impairments already suffered and projected into the future. Furthermore, Veras requests pre-judgment and post-judgment interest on all accrued damages at the highest legal rate permissible.

Representing Fernando A. Veras is attorney Joshua Leal from Kwok Daniel Ltd., L.L.P., while no defense attorneys have been named in the filing documents available thus far. The case will be heard by judges assigned within the jurisdiction of Harris County's District Court system under Case ID: 2025-19015.
