Amber Lopez has filed a lawsuit against a Houston-based business, alleging negligence after suffering serious injuries on their premises. The complaint was lodged by Amber Lopez in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on April 4, 2025, naming "Sellers Brothers" and SB Houston #24, LLC as defendants.

According to the details of the case, on September 15, 2023, Amber Lopez was shopping at Sellers Brothers located at 1050 Federal Rd., Houston when she slipped and fell due to a wet floor in the fruit aisle. This incident resulted in severe and permanent bodily injuries. Lopez contends that the defendants were aware or should have been aware of the hazardous condition that led to her fall. The lawsuit claims that Sellers Brothers and its agents negligently allowed this dangerous condition to persist without providing adequate warning to customers like Lopez. "Defendant and/or its respective agents, servants, and employees knew of or had constructive knowledge of this dangerous condition," states the petition.

Lopez's legal team argues that Sellers Brothers failed in their duty of care by not maintaining safe premises for their patrons. As a result of this alleged negligence, Lopez has endured significant physical pain and mental anguish. She is seeking compensation for various damages including past and future medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, physical impairment, disfigurement, as well as pain and suffering both past and anticipated.

The plaintiff is requesting a judgment exceeding the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court. This includes actual damages along with pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at the legal rate. Additionally, Lopez seeks reimbursement for court costs and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Representing Amber Lopez is attorney Adam P. Criaco from Criaco & Samperi law firm based in Houston. The case is being presided over by Judge Nelson Cuero in Harris County's 125th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2025-23590.
