A Jefferson County family is suing over claims two members were injured in a collision, allegedly caused by a minor driving a car.
Kimberly Price, individually, and Cornell Price as next friend of Lauren Price, a minor, filed a lawsuit Oct. 21 in Jefferson County District Court against Joseph Comley, as next friend of Jeremy Philip Comley, a minor, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Kimberly Price was driving east in the outside lane of Gladys Avenue at its intersection with Dowlen Road in Beaumont on Sept. 3, 2013, when Jeremy Comley, driving his father's car eastbound in the left turn-only lane, attempted to make a right turn onto Dowlen in front of the plaintiff and struck her vehicle. The complaint states Lauren Price was a passenger in Kimberly Price's vehicle, and both sustained injuries. The defendant is accused of negligence.
The Prices seek damages, interest and costs of court. They are represented by attorneys Michael R. Ramsey and Sean M. Russell of Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont.
