Plaintiff Specialized Monitoring Solutions (SMS) is a Texas limited liability company based in Marshall.
Defendants are accused of infringing U.S. Patent No. 6,657,553 issued for a Method of Monitoring a Protected Space.
The claimed methods of the ‘553 Patent detect signal events occurring at a protected space, code the signal events into a packetized message and transfer those coded packet messages to a database. The coded packet messages are stored in reserved areas and subareas of the database in accordance with the type of signal event and the respective protected space, according to the suits. Additionally, the coded message packets are accessible via the Internet.
The plaintiff claims defendants had knowledge of the ‘553 Patent.
SMS is seeking compensatory damages no less than a reasonable royalty, interest and other relief deemed just and proper. A jury trial is demanded.

Plaintiff AlphaCap Ventures is a California limited liability company based in Livermore, Calif.
Defendants are accused of infringing on:
• U.S. Patent No. 7,848,976 issued Dec. 7, 2010, for a Private Entity Profile Network;
• U.S. Patent No. 7,908,208 issued March 15, 2011, for a Private Entity Profile Network; and
• U.S. Patent No. 8,433,630 issued April 30, 2013, for a Private Entity Profile Network.
The patents-in-suit generally describe a computer-implemented method of providing data collection templates to facilitate the collection of information related to equity and debt financing. The methods described generally involve defining a template for collection of resource consumer information using at least one processor, sending to the resource consumer a webpage with user-fillable fields, storing the resource consumer information in a database as a semi-homogenous profile, defining by at least one processor portfolio categories, storing weblinks that case the creation of portfolio records and associating at least one semi-homogenous profile with at least one of the portfolio records.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages no less than a reasonable royalty, interest, costs and other relief deemed just and proper. A jury trial is demanded.

Defendants are accused of infringing on U.S. Patent No. 6,795,918 issued Sept. 21, 2004, for Service Level Computer Security.
The ‘918 Patent deals generally with a computer security apparatus comprising a first communication interface coupled to a public network, a packet analyzer coupled to the interface, a protocol storage device, a source port storage device, a destination port storage device, a lookup table device and a second communication device interface.
Allegedly infringing products include wireless routers.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages, interest and other just and proper relief. A jury trial is demanded.
