Customer blames HEB for fall at store

A Galveston County woman has sued a Texas City grocery store for injuries allegedly suffered in an accident.

Patricia Toliver Myles filed a lawsuit Feb. 26 in Galveston County District Court against HEB Grocery Company, citing negligence.

According to the suit, on March 6, 2013, Myles was shopping at the store at 918 20th St. N. in Texas City when her shoe became tangled in a floor rug and she fell to the floor, striking her head, shoulders, hip and other areas of her body.

Myles seeks damages for: medical expenses; physical pain and suffering; mental anguish; impairment and/or disfigurement; loss of earning capacity; attorney fees; and costs. She is represented by attorney Helen Stewart Truscott of Dickinson.
