Representing her minor daughter, Stacy Riley filed a personal injury lawsuit against Frances Chatman, claiming her child was "injured because of (Chatman's) negligence."
The two page suit was filed on Aug. 16 in the Jefferson County District Court, and gives no details of the incident.
In her suit, Riley claims on "Feb. 9, 2007, the minor plaintiff sustained injuries because of defendant's negligence."
The suit mentions nothing further.
"All procedural requisites or conditions precedent have occurred, been waived, or are legally excused," the suit said. "Defendant does not request service because plaintiff believes defendant will waive legal service."
Riley is suing for her daughter's past and future medical expenses, physical pain and mental anguish.
"Plaintiff prays that upon hearing, the court grant judgment against defendant, and for such other and further relief at law in equity to which plaintiff may show herself justly entitled," the suit said.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th Judicial District, has been assigned to the case.
