A Hardin County woman blames a driver for injuries she claims to have sustained after the driver crashed into the vehicle in which she rode.
Tonja Green filed a lawsuit July 14 in Jefferson County District Court against Kevin Bowles.
Green claims on Feb. 6 she rode in a 1997 Toyota Camry traveling west on East Lucas in Beaumont when Bowles failed to yield the right-of-way as he attempted to exit a private drive.
Because of the collision, Green incurred medical costs; suffered physical pain, mental anguish and physical impairment; lost her income; and experienced a diminished wage earning capacity, according to the complaint.
In her complaint, Green seeks an unspecified judgment, plus interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Timothy W. Ferguson and Dominic M.V. Braus of Ferguson Firm in Beaumont will be representing her.
The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
