Pedestrian mowed down by parked car, suit claims

Earlier this year, Dianna Broussard was standing in the driveway of an Orange home when Mary Berry allegedly crashed into a parked car, "causing it to strike her and knock her to the ground."

Alleging Berry negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, Broussard filed suit against Berry on Aug. 13 in Orange County District Court.

Court papers show that on March 27 Broussard was standing in the driveway of a private residence located in the 2900 block of Byley Street in Orange "when a vehicle owned and operated by Berry crashed into a parked car," sending it into Broussard's location.

The suit does not state the nature of Broussard's assumed injuries.

She is suing for all damages allowable under law.

Jasper attorney Blair Bisbey of the Seale, Stover & Bisbey law firm is representing Broussard.

The case has been assigned to Judge Buddy Hahn, 260th Judicial District.

Case No. D-100456-c
