Latest Hurricane Ike-related insurance suits filed in Jefferson County

A total of seven new complaints against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Courts, Aug. 16-20, 2010.

The following complaints were filed:

  • Roy and Deborah Callais of Bridge City in Orange County allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Callaises will be represented by David Dies of Dies and Parkhurst in Orange. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-591.

  • Juan and Dolores Garcia of 3910 Fourth St. in Port Arthur allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for contents, foundation, roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Garcias will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn and Stacy L. Little of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: D187-608.

  • Jose and Sophia Marquez of 2024 Stanley Blvd. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, structural, roof, foundation, water and wind damage caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Marquezes will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-595.

  • Robert and Lynette Nixon of 5716 Grant Ave. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Nixons will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: A187-596.

  • Mike and Myla Ramsey of 4880 Christina Lane in Beaumont allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for contents, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Francisco and Juanita Rodriguez of 1941 Woodrow Drive in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Rodriguezes will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-580.

  • Michael and Linda Spencer of 4265 Inez St. in Beaumont allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Spencers will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn and Stacy L. Little of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-723.

  • Michael and Brenda Ward of 1619 N. 32nd St. in Nederland allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Wards will be represented by Gregory F. Cox of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-600.
