A total of seven new complaints against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Courts, Aug. 16-20, 2010.
The following complaints were filed:
Roy and Deborah Callais of Bridge City in Orange County allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Juan and Dolores Garcia of 3910 Fourth St. in Port Arthur allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for contents, foundation, roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Jose and Sophia Marquez of 2024 Stanley Blvd. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for contents, structural, roof, foundation, water and wind damage caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
