Orange County collision leads to Jefferson County suit

Orange resident Kevin Woolwine has filed suit against Beaumont local Quentin Ebner for allegedly causing a motor vehicle collision last February.

Although the collision occurred in Orange County, Woolwine filed the suit in Jefferson County District Court on June 20.

His petition sates that venue is proper in Jefferson County because the defendant resides within the county.

According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 26, 2010, Wooline was driving his vehicle somewhere in Orange County when Ebner somehow allegedly collided with him.

The suit does not specifically state where or how the incident occurred.

In his suit, Woolwine accuses Ebner of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

He is represented by Beaumont attorney Adam Terrell of Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
