Rolling Frito-Lay sued for truck driver's collision

Area resident Brittny Self has filed suit against Rolling Frito-Lay Sales and one of the company's truck drivers, Darrell Barbosa, who allegedly struck her vehicle.

The suit was filed Aug. 26 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that the automobile collision occurred on April 13.

The suit does not state where or how the incident occurred.

Self accuses Barbosa of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout, apply his brakes in a timely manner and improperly changing lanes.

The suit also accuses Rolling Frito-Lay of negligently entrusting its truck to him.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Trenton Bond of Portner Bond represents her.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
