Five months after filing suit, Port Arthur resident Hattie Griggie non-suited Dr. Joseph Badlissi from her medical-malpractice claim.
As previously reported, Griggie filed the suit Dec. 29, 2010, in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show that on Aug. 28 she filed a notice of non-suit, dismissing Dr. Badlissi without prejudice.
According to the suit, on Oct. 28, 2008, Griggie was admitted to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, where Badlissi treated her.
No specific act of negligence is listed in the suit.
Griggie was suing for her alleged mental anguish, medical expenses and impairment.
Houston attorney Craig Lewis represented her.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, presided over the case.
