Medical records affidavit entered in suit against Cowboy Honda

A medical and billing records affidavit was recently filed in a personal injury lawsuit against Cowboy Honda Red Riders.

As previously reported, Thu "Tweety" Trung filed suit against Cowboy Honda on Aug. 17 in Jefferson County District Court, alleging the company failed to properly repair her motorcycle and caused her to wreck.

Court records show that the medical and billing records affidavit, authored by custodian of records Suzy Springer, was filed Dec. 7.

The affidavit states that the medical records contain Trung's treatment following the incident.

In her suit, Trung claims that on June 12, 2010, she picked up her bike from Cowboy Honda and began to ride home.

Shortly after picking up the serviced motorcycle, Trung claims the bike began to burn her leg while traveling on Highway 69 near the Dowlen Road exit, forcing her to lose control and wreck on the side of the road.

Trung accuses the defendant of negligently failing to properly repair the bike and secure its cover.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Trenton Bond, attorney for the Beaumont law firm Portner Bond, represents her.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. E190-692
