A security corporation, who sued a former sales manager for allegedly using the company's confidential information to syphon clients, has dismissed the defendant.
As previously reported, Patriot Security filed a lawsuit Jan. 20, 2011, in Jefferson County District Court against George Adams.
Court records show that on Nov. 22 Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, granted the parties' agreed motion to dismiss with prejudice.
Patriot Security claimed that Adams had access to its confidential information, including contact information and customer lists, which he used to commence some type of employment advantage with Delta Security and Lofton Security - both companies that compete with Patriot Security.
According to the original petition, Adams gained access to the top-secret documents during his work as a sales manager for Patriot from June 11, 2004, through Jan. 14.
The dismal order does not state what type of financial agreement, if any, the parties reached.
Patriot Security was seeking actual damages, plus attorney's fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just.
