Seeking to recover the $15,000 he loaned to a Port Arthur man, Orange County resident Rodney Conerly has filed suit against Harvey Gordon.
The suit was filed Dec. 21 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on June 30, 2010, the parties entered into an agreement in which Conerly lent Gordon $15,060.
Gordon was supposed to pay the money back by Sept. 30 but never did.
The suit does not state why Conerly loaned Gordon the money or what the money was used for.
The plaintiff is suing for actual damages and court costs.
Port Arthur attorney Peter Doyle Jr. represents him.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
