WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline) – Two attorneys on opposite sides of a debate over payments to asbestos victims took part Friday in a policy debate presented by the Congressional Civil Justice Caucus Academy.
Nathan Finch of plaintiffs firm Motley Rice and James Stengel of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe disagreed over whether information gathered during payments made by bankruptcy trusts to victims of asbestos exposure should be shared in court cases filed by the same victims.
