Woman, son sue over injuries from collision

A woman claims she and her son were injured during a collision.

Jacqueline Ford filed a lawsuit June 4 in Jefferson County District Court against Jaggernath Baran.

In her complaint, Ford claims she and minor Larry Coleman II were injured in a collision near the 4100 block of State Highway 73 in Port Arthur on March 19 when Baran struck their vehicle.

Because of the collision, Ford and her son sustained injuries, experienced physical pain, mental anguish and physical impairment, according to the complaint. Ford also incurred medical costs, the suit states.

She seeks a judgment within the jurisdictional limits of Jefferson County District Court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.

John A. Carwile of The Law Offices of John A. Carwile in Houston will be representing her.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. B192-527
