Carwile

A Jefferson County woman claims she sustained injuries after a driver struck her vehicle.

Rhonda Acevedo filed a lawsuit June 20 in Jefferson County District Court against Daniel Ramirez.

In her complaint, Acevedo alleges she drove near the 3300 block of 17th Street in Port Arthur on March 10 when Ramirez struck her vehicle.

Because of the collision, Acevedo sustained injuries, incurred medical costs, lost wages and her earning capacity and experienced physical pain and mental anguish, according to the lawsuit. She also endured physical impairment, the suit states.

In her complaint, Acevedo seeks a judgment within the jurisdictional limits of Jefferson County District Court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

John A. Carwile of The Law Offices of John A. Carwile in Houston will be representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.

Case No. B192-593
