Woman files suit over collision

A woman has filed suit against the company that she claims caused her to sustain injuries in an accident.

Kina Jones blames Northstar Entertainment for causing injuries she sustained in an accident in Jefferson County on March 29. Jones does not specify how the injuries occurred.

She does, however, say she experienced physical pain and mental suffering, incurred medical costs and endured physical disfigurement, according to the complaint.

Jones blames Northstar for causing her injuries, saying it negligently failed to properly maintain its equipment, failed to properly inspect its equipment and failed to properly operate its equipment.

In her complaint, Jones is seeking a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of Jefferson County District Court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

John Werner of Reaud, Morgan and Quinn in Beaumont will be representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court.

Case No. D193-864
