A Harris County man is suing a vehicle repair shop after his vehicle caught fire.
Adrian Sparks filed a lawsuit Jan. 24 in the Galveston County Court against McRee Ford Inc., alleging deceptive trade practices.
Sparks says he took his vehicle to the business on Jan. 28, 2012, to be repaired. Parts were bought and the business told him the repairs were done, according to the suit.
He states he paid for the repairs and picked up the vehicle.
However, Sparks claims the vehicle caught fire while his wife was driving and the blaze destroyed the vehicle, according to the complaint.
Sparks is asking the court to determine the amount of loss incurred.
He is being represented by Houston attorney Derrick Saulsberry.
