Mardi Gras attendee sues tent company, seeks $1M over fall

A Mardi Gras partier is suing a tent company after tripping over a wire cover.



Mary Patton filed a lawsuit Feb. 24 in the Galveston County District Court against InTents Party Supply Inc., citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Patton attended the Galveston Mardi Gras on Feb. 3, 2013, when she tripped over an improperly installed wire cover.

Patton is suing for damages in excess of $1 million.

She is being represented by Taylor Miller of Reaud, Morgan & Quinn LLP in Beaumont.
