Countrywide Asset & Auto Recovery sued over unlawful vehicle repossession

A Galveston County man is suing over claims his vehicle was unlawfully repossessed. 


Majed Saeed filed a lawsuit March 11 in the Galveston County District Court against Auto Recovery of Houston LLC, doing business as Countrywide Asset & Auto Recovery of Houston.


According to the complaint, on Oct. 24, 2013, Saeed's GMC truck was repossessed by Countrywide, who claimed to be working for a third party.


Saeed says the defendant nor any third party ever contacted him, and the vehicle has not been returned.


Saeed is seeking damages and a replacement vehicle.


He is being represented in the case by attorney Gary E. Patterson in Houston.
