A marine worker is suing a vessel owner claiming he sustained injuries during work.

William Snipes Jr. filed a lawsuit March 25 in the Galveston County District Court against Thomas Marine Launch Services LLC, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Snipes was working on a vessel named Donny Jr. on March 4, when a wave knocked a ladder away, causing him to hang on to avoid a fall. He sustained injuries to his arm, shoulder, neck and other parts of his body, the complaint states.

Snipes is seeking actual and exemplary damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional amount of the court, pre and post-judgment interest, plus court costs.

He is being represented by Anthony G. Buzbee of the Buzbee Law Firm.
