American Express Bank sues Texas resident for more than $150k

A Jefferson County resident is being sued for failing to repay cash advances.


American Express Bank FSB filed a lawsuit April 11 in the Jefferson County Court against Clint West, citing breach of written contract. 

The complaint states West and the American Express Bank entered into a cardmember agreement, which required the defendant to repay all cash advances, plus charges. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to repay any cash advances, totaling $163,346.85.

American Express is seeking $163,346.85, plus interest and costs.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Donald D. Degrasse, Kevin T. McGuire and Lori M. Davlin of DeGrasse & Rolnick in Houston.
