A Camp County man is suing over claims he was injured when a company delivered metal to his place of business but negligently transported it.
Virgil Milam filed a lawsuit May 16 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions LLC, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Milam was working for A-1 Door and Window in Longview on July 5, 2012, when a Trulite employee delivered metal stacked on pallets.
Allegedly, a coworker of Milam's informed the Trulite employee the stack was not secure on the forklift, but the employee ignored him, and negligently dropped the metal on Milam's hand, causing a fractured wrist and nerve damage, according to the suit.
Milam is seeking more than $75,000 in damages.
He is being represented in the case by attorneys Darren Grant and Matthew B. Flanery of Grant & Flanery PC.
