Houston woman accused of causing crash on Galveston road

A Galveston driver is suing a Houston woman she alleges crashed into her.

Julianne Leissner filed the lawsuit against Sarah Waterwall on Aug. 19 in Galveston County District Court.

The lawsuit alleges the crash happened Aug. 20, one day after the complaint was filed. Leissner says she was driving west on Avenue J in Galveston when Waterwall, driving in the opposite direction, attempted to make a left-hand turn in front of her. According to the complaint, Waterwall hit the driver's side of Leissner's vehicle instead.

Leissner accuses Waterwall of negligence and asks for an unspecified amount in damages for medical expenses, physical pain and suffering and mental anguish.

Attorneys E.A. Trey Apffel and Tyler Scully with the Apffel Law Firm in League City represent Leissner.
