Port Arthur man accused of defaulting on credit card account

A Port Arthur man accused of defaulting on a credit card account is being asked to pay more than $11,000. 

LVNV Funding filed a complaint against Francisco Gonzalez on Aug. 21 in Jefferson County District Court. 

According to the complaint, Gonzalez owes $11,453 on a credit card account that he has failed to repay, creating a default. LVNV Funding alleges it bought the account and is owed the remaining balance.

LVNV Funding accuses Gonzalez of breach of contract for allegedly failing to repay the account as agreed. The company asks to be awarded damages in the amount of $11,453 plus interest, attorney fees and court costs.
