Man says investment company didn't pay for roof work

A man alleges he lost nearly $5,000 after he provided labor and materials for roofing work.

Alfonso Rangel-Monroy filed a lawsuit Sept. 12 in Jefferson County District Court.

Rangel-Monroy alleges he agreed to perform roofing and related work for defendant Woori Investment at 2655 11th South St., Beaumont, for $4,700.

Rangel-Monroy provided his time and materials to complete the work but never was paid for it, according to the complaint.

In his complaint, Rangel-Monroy alleges breach of contract and unjust enrichment against the defendants.

He seeks a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law, attorney fees, costs and other relief the court deem just.

Javier Marcos Jr. of The Law Offices of Marcos and Associates in Houston will represent Rangel-Monroy.
