An attorney has filed a lawsuit against his former client whom he alleges failed to pay him for his services.
Bryan E. McEachern alleges he agreed to represent Belinda B. Gonsoulin as her attorney in a complaint involving her marriage that had been filed in Jefferson County District Court.
Although McEachern performed his services, Gonsoulin failed to pay for them, according to McEachern's current complaint filed Sept. 15 in Jefferson County District Court.
McEachern alleges breach of contract against Gonsoulin.
He seeks a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law, attorney fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.
McEachern will appear pro se.
