GALVESTON — A Brazoria County man is suing a Friendswood company, alleging negligence in his injury with a bulldozer.

Ryan Hamil filed a lawsuit Feb. 5 in Galveston County District Court against Beale Corp. LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 17, Hamil was working for Beale at the company’s tree farm when his supervisor’s faulty and reckless operation of the bulldozer caused Hamil’s foot to become wedged between the cab and its shovel. Hamil’s foot and ankle were crushed and his knee twisted, the suit states.

Hamil has undergone medical treatment for these injuries, has been unable to work and continues to suffer from these injuries, the lawsuit states. The suit also says that due to being a non-subscriber under the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act, Hamil must show that nothing he did or failed to do caused the injury.

Hamil seeks a jury trial, damages of more than $1 million, any other relief to which he is legally entitled and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Vuk S. Vujasinovic of VB Attorneys in Houston.
