GALVESTON – A Galveston County aircraft distributor is suing a Croatian-based airlines company, alleging breach of contract.

Texas Air Services, Inc. field a lawsuit Dec. 29, in the Galveston County District Court

against European Coastal Airlines Ltd. of Croatia, alleging breach of contract, common law fraud and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, between 2007 and 2014, Texas Air Services and European Coastal Airlines entered into contracts and agreements regarding the location, acquisition and refurbishment of DHC6 Twin Otter aircraft. On or about May 2014, the lawsuit states, European Coastal breached that contract when it bought a Twin Otter aircraft from a Swiss aviation company.

In November 2014, the suit says, Texas Air Services ended its relationship with European Coastal Airlines and in June 2015, the plaintiff invoiced the defendant for unpaid services totaling $692,977. The complaint states European Coastal has refused to pay and denies liability.

Texas Air Services seeks actual damages of at least $692,977, prejudgment interest, attorney fees and related expenses. It is represented by attorney Dale Ossip Johnson of The Johnson Law Group in Cedar Park.
