Beaumont woman blames CST Corner Store for fall, injuries

BEAUMONT – A Beaumont woman is suing a local convenience store, alleging negligence for injuries she says suffered during a fall at the store.

Yvonne Scott field a lawsuit Feb. 9 in Jefferson County District Court against CST Services LLC doing business as CST Corner Store LLC, alleging negligence.

  

According to the complaint, on March 22, 2015, Scott was a business invitee of CST Service, 5805 Highway 105, Beaumont when she slipped and fell on a recently mopped floor. The suit says she suffered severe injuries to her back, neck, right shoulder, right hip, right knee, right ankle and body generally.

The plaintiff alleges the store's negligence led to injuries, physical impairment, medical bills and expenses.

   

Scott seeks damages for her injuries and expenses as well as pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, plus a jury trial. She is represented by attorneys James E. Payne, Ronnie Turner Jr. and Jennifer Job of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
