GALVESTON – A boat owner alleges repairs were not properly made on the boat.
Harry Schubeck Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the Galveston County District Court against Tracy Hooter and Laurie Hooter, both of Santa Fe, alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that defendants agreed to repair plaintiff's vessel but the repairs were not properly made. As a proximate result of defendants' alleged conduct, plaintiff claims he suffered damages in the amount of $4,015.91.
The plaintiff holds Tracy Hooter and Laurie Hooter responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly make the repair and perform work pursuant to the contract and failed to test the boat after repair to confirm if the repairs were properly made.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants of less than $50,000, jointly and severally, for its debt, with interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by William C. Boyd and S. Scott Boyd of Patterson, Boyd & Lowery PC in Houston.
