Patron suffered ankle injury from riding mechanical bull, lawsuit says

HOUSTON – A ride on a mechanical bull last month for one Harris County woman has yielded a personal injury lawsuit.

In court documents filed against Chicas Entertainment, LLC and 9924 Enterprises, LLC on Apr. 16 in the Harris County 334th District Court, Yesenia Hernandez says the riding simulator at the defendants’ business ejected her and caused her to injure her ankle.

The complaint alleges the ride’s operator was neither properly licensed nor trained to operate it safely, adding the inflatable mattress surrounding the bull was not properly inflated.

“The defendant owned, occupied, and/or controlled the area where the plaintiff was injured,” the suit says.

Consequently, Hernandez seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Robert Freed and John Arthur Daspit of the Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
