HOUSTON – A wheelchair-bound woman has filed a lawsuit against a nail salon after allegedly sustaining burn injuries to her feet, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Nell Fields’s suit, which was filed on Apr. 23 in the Harris County 333rd District Court, blames the Apr. 23, 2016 incident on Hanh Ngoc Le, doing business as Tina Nails.

Fields, a paraplegic, says she was in the process of getting a pedicure at the defendant’s business when a worker placed her feet in “scalding” hot water.

The plaintiff reportedly suffered third degree burns to both of her feet.

Court papers assert Fields required multiple injuries, adding she did not contribute in any way to the subject to the subject event.

Consequently, she seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Christina M. Marks of the Law Office of Christina M. Marks in Houston is representing the complainant.
