SHERMAN – Two Florida residents are seeking damages from an Oregon man and his employer over damages incurred in an auto accident in Denton County.

Phillip Donald and Arden Wong filed a complaint on June 5 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Market Express LLC and Wayne Alan Sorensen alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 2, 2017, they were injured in a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 35 East and 2181 in Denton County when Sorensen, who was employed by Market Express, struck their vehicle. They allege they suffered severe injuries to their necks, backs, shoulders and other parts of their bodies in general.

The plaintiffs holds Market Express LLC and Sorensen responsible because defendant Sorensen allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to maintain safe distance and failed to timely apply brakes to avoid colliding with their vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek pre- and post-judgement interest and such other and further relief to which they may be justly entitled. They are represented by Thomas J. Henry of the Law Offices of Thomas J. Henry in Corpus Christi.
